We finish this week with the arrival of some stunning slot cars, many of which are incredibly rare limited editions with very few, if any other examples now available online. All these models are brand new and come boxed in the original packaging and are all in full working condition.
From the World of Sports car racing, we have some fabulous new arrivals. Now in store is the striking Jägermeister Porsche 934 as raced by Reinhardt Stenzel at the Nurburgring in 1976. A limited edition of only 285 ever made, we have not seen another one like this online and with all Jägermeister cars it's sure to stand out from any collection. Another incredibly rare model is the Gulf coloured Shelby Cobra by Revell. A limited edition of only 250 ever made so again it's unlikely you will see many of these pop up for sale.
One of our favourites is the McLaren M6B Can Am car, driven by Dan Gurney. This model comes in a lovely presentation box and is limited to only 3,000 ever made. Another model new to arrive in the special presentation box, is the Revell Monogram Shelby Cobra Dayton Coupe as raced at Sebring in 1965. With the original blue with white stripe livery, this is another classic car that just gets better with age. Another one off that we have not seen anywhere else online is the iconic Porsche 917K twin car set. These models are replica's of those raced at the 1000 KM race at Brands Hatch in 1971 and come with an amazing dirt effect paint finish so look just as they would have done at the end of the race. The set is made up from the Gulf car, driven by Jo Siffert and Derek Bell and it's Martini rival, driven by Vic Elford and Brian Redman. The Gulf car would go on to finish 3rd in the race behind the race winning Alfa T33 and Ferrari 512 while sadly the Martini car failed to see the chequered flag. These models would look great on track once again fighting each other.
From the World of Rally we have a mighty MG Metro 6R4 now in store, this one being the car that Didier Auriol drove in the 1986 Tour De Course Rally. With it's bright yellow and red paintwork this model will stand out in any collection and the 6R4 is still one of our favourite rally cars of all time.
For the classic F1 car fans, we now have four different models from the 1979 Formula One World Championship in store. We have both Ferrari 312 T4 cars as raced at the Monaco Grand Prix by Jody Scheckter and Gilles Villeneuve, these models feature the rear wing - positioned much further forward than usual to try and help with the handling around the twisty Monaco Track.
We also have Gilles Villeneuve's car that he drove in the Canadian Grand Prix, with the more conventional rear end to the car on this one. Finally we have Rene Arnoux's Renault RS10 in stock so you can re create the famous battle between Villeneuve and Arnoux at Dijon from the comfort of you own track! All these F1 Slot cars are limited editions of 1020 and have such amazing details for slot cars.
