So far in 2022 we have not seen many new releases arrive so it's been more of a restock week than lots of new arrivals. However coming at the end of the week are a few surprises.
From the world of Sports Car racing we have the mighty Porsche 917 from 1970 back in store. We have two versions back on the shelf, the Gulf car as driven by Jo Siffert and Brian Redman and also the psychedelic version driven by Willy Kauhsen and Gerard Larrousse. Both in 1/43 scale by CMR Replicas these are a must for any classic sports car fans collection. New from the 80's we have more Lamborghini Countach race car models back in stock and from more recent times we have the amazingly detailed 1/18 Spark Oreca 07 Le Mans car from 2018 back in store.
With the WRC season kicking off last weekend, we have more Ford Escort RS Cosworth's back in store, with both the Delecour and Biassion versions by IXO now available. We are also expecting some lovely 1/43 scale MG Metro 6R4's in the very near future so watch this space.
From F1 we have had re stocks of Jackie Stewarts lovely Tyrrell 006 F1 car plus the Minichamps replica of George Russell's Mercedes W11 from the Sakhir GP in 2020. One of the few new models to arrive this week is the Lotus 72D of Emerson Fittipaldi. This model comes with the full John Player Special Logos on and is great value for money at just over £10.00 per model. These have nearly sold out at suppliers but we have good stock, so these should be around for the next few months. Another new model to us is the beautiful Ferrari F189 of Nigel Mansell. A limited edition of only 500 ever made, these stunning GP Replica models are some of the best you will find in the smaller scale and come delicately boxed in three layers of packaging and mounted on a leather base. These would make ideal gifts for any avid Formula 1 enthusiast.
As mentioned above, we expect another delivery of superb new models including Formula 1 and WRC cars. Let's hope something catches your eye over the weekend.
